ALERT: If you haven't heard about the New Zealand Mud Snail problem please go to the DFG site http://www.dfg.ca.gov/news/news04/04001.html. This is a real problem and getting worse. Everyone needs to be aware of this and needs to take the necessary action to prevent the spread of the mudsnail. Avoiding wading is the first recommemdation. If you must wade, freezing your wading gear for up to 6 hours is the easiest action. Your boots are the most likely carrier due to the areas where the snails can hide.

FISHING. Regular season is closed in Inyo and Mono Counties but there are a number of waters that are open all year. The "Early Season" has opened in Inyo County. All creeks from Independence and south are now open. The weather is the pacing item. Expect more storms to come through. The Lower Owens is now up to 250 cfs; still fishable but wading is tougher. Fishing on Hot Creek and the Upper Owens is very good. The Kern River has kicking out some very large stocked fish. The East Walker is fishing well; water level coming up. Our all year round waters include the Lower Owens River, Upper Owens River, Hot Creek, East Walker, Pleasant Valley Reservoir, Haiwee Reservoir, and the main Kern River. LADWP has closed Haiwee Reservoir to public access due to possible terrorist attacks. The South Fork of the Kern and Fish Creek are now closed. See our Fishing Report for more details.

We do custom rod building to your specifications; check out "RODS" page.

With relocation to the house we do not have regular hours. Just give us a call to make arrangements to go over remaining inventory.
